This year we will help build a market stand, plant spring gardens and more trees in the Edible Forest, rebuild the CURME Medicinal Garden, build and repair old garden beds, make signs and art projects.

Alpha Nu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority will host America’s Sunday Supper on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at 3 PM to 5 PM at Bible Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church. Bible Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church is located at 1520 8th Avenue, Oakland CA.
The program will reflect on the importance of volunteerism, the work of Dr. King and our ability to invoke change. The key note speaker is the Mr. Tyrone Posey, the President of Oakland Operation Hope who will discuss economic empowerment, how to encompass economic security and the impact of Dr. King’s life on volunteerism in America. We will also recognize those who served us; veterans and their families, since they represent the ultimate in public service. After the program, Alpha Nu Omega Chapter will host a light supper consisting of Dr. King’s favorite foods.
